Your first bungalow shortcut
Start here, before every blue lagoon looks the same
The right overwater bungalow is not simply the prettiest one. It is the one with the transfer, water, privacy, room layout, and total price that fit your trip.
Four decisions, in the right order
Turn the fantasy into a shortlist
1. Define your version of “best”
A honeymoon showstopper and an easy family escape rarely win for the same reasons.
2. Choose the destination
Decide whether you want huge villa choice, easy routing, mountain drama, or a smaller island lodge.
3. Match the trip personality
Honeymoon, all-inclusive, family, non-swimmer, and value trips need different answers.
4. Check the trip-changing details
Transfer cost, jetty position, weather, and what is excluded can matter more than another ten square meters.

My favorite booking rule
Do not pay for an upgrade until you can explain what it changes
“Premium,” “sunset,” and “reserve” can mean a spectacular difference, or just a more flattering room name. Compare the view, deck, pool, water access, location, and included benefits one by one.
If the upgrade cannot win on those facts, your cocktail budget may have found its new home.
