Dream Bungalows is owned and edited by Ellie Simons. Ellie is responsible for the site’s editorial direction, final review, corrections, and disclosure standards.

How guides are researched

Guides begin with primary sources such as official resort and hotel-brand pages, direct booking engines, villa maps, transfer policies, tourism boards, and relevant government or transportation resources. Reputable travel publications and recent traveler discussions may be used to identify questions, recurring patterns, and potential gotchas.

Material facts are verified with authoritative sources whenever possible. Forums, reviews, and social discussions are qualitative context, not unquestioned proof of a factual claim.

First-hand experience

Personal experience is labeled only when Ellie has personally visited or stayed at a property. Research-based guides do not imply a stay. A resort can still be recommended after careful independent research, but the basis of that recommendation is made clear.

Accuracy and updates

Room categories, transfer rules, prices, inclusions, and operating status can change. Time-sensitive facts are checked when an article is published or materially refreshed, and readers are encouraged to confirm final details with the property before booking.

Verified errors are corrected promptly. When a change materially affects the recommendation, the article should explain what changed.

Recommendations and rankings

Recommendations consider meaningful traveler outcomes: room design, privacy, lagoon access, transfer burden, inclusions, total trip cost, accessibility, family fit, atmosphere, and the tradeoffs between them. A beautiful property is not automatically the right property for every reader.
