Sixty square meters is comfortable rather than enormous by modern Maldives standards, which can feel cozy or dated depending on whether your priorities are intimacy or architectural drama.

Lagoon Suite: privacy with a boat timetable

Medhufushi has only two Lagoon Suites, each 152 square meters and listed for two adults. They stand separately over the lagoon rather than along the main villa jetty, and the resort describes them as accessible only by boat.

The romance is obvious: fewer passing neighbors, water on all sides, and the delicious feeling that your room has escaped from the rest of the resort. The inconvenience is just as real because breakfast, the bar, the spa, and every spontaneous island wander begin with transport.

International flights should arrive between 06:00 and 15:00 for the resort to arrange same-day seaplane service, and departures should be scheduled from 09:15 onward. The flight itself is quick, but terminal transfers, shared scheduling, possible stops, and weather make the total journey longer than 35 minutes.

Scheduled speedboat

The same official page lists the return shared speedboat at USD 220 per adult and USD 110 per child through October 31, 2026. Airport departures are currently shown at 11:00 and 17:00, with resort departures at 06:15 and 10:15, all subject to weather and operational change.

Two and a half hours on open water is not a scenic footnote if you get seasick. The resort itself does not recommend this route for children, older guests, or people prone to motion sickness, and the boat may carry non-resort passengers or make more than one stop.
